I ran across an ad the other day about Brink’s Home Security. I thought this sounded like a great idea, so I decided to check it out. I got on the website to sign up for this security system, and it started asking me for all of my information. i thought to myself, "brinks says they provide safe and secure security, but how secure is it really when they are asking me for all of my information?" i never thought that something like Brinks would use these crazy tactics to get people to use their product. They are always advertising that they are extremely safe and that there has been very much work put into it. But one of the questions that i want to know the answer to is how is brinks secure when they know everyone’s information who signs up for their security system. They reel people in by using commercials of incidents of robberies and break-ins. they look real and it looks like the security system would work well, but i don’t think that giving out all of my information is a safe and secure way just to have home security. I think that their ads and commercials provide great evidence that they are a safe security system, but I do not agree completely when they want me to give them everything that they ask for. After I submit that information, it is saved to them forever. They will always know where I live, what age I am, what kind of house I have. Everything they need to know to potentially rob a house or break into a house I am giving them just to get security. Their website is very contradicting.

Disney Video
I chose to write my blog this week about the Disney video we watched. I believe that this taught me and everyone else in the class a great lesson about copyright. I think using Disney films made us interested not only in the video itself but the message it was putting forth about copyright. I think that copyright is a very important subject, and the person who made that Disney video used copyright in the right way. Doing that also helped us to understand the message he was trying to get across to us. I think that the way he used all the Disney characters the way he did was a very unique and useful way of getting a message across. All of the clips were from different Disney clips, and they weren’t but like 5 second clips. This meant we really had to pay attention to what each character was saying in what scene and put it all together in the end to come across the actual message. This video really taught me a valuable lesson about copyright, and it also used some of my favorite things in the world, Disney cartoons. Using the cartoons and clips from different Disney movies can really speak out to many different audiences. I am a college student, and I still love cartoons. Other people, such as freshmen in high school, or even as young as fifth graders, could relate to this message and understand this message. They would get enjoyment out of this video as well as a very valuable lesson that can be used for the rest of their lives. I personally loved this video.

Rhetorical Analysis over Facebook Cartoon
I chose to do my analysis on this image, simply because I am very interested in this subject. I think this is a cartoon that we should all take seriously, considering it is about our private lives. Another reason I chose this image is because it really caught my eye. There have been many complaints about how the privacy matter of Facebook should be taken care of. Some say that they don't want everything to be read by everyone, and that is why they set their Facebook page to private, but it's not private to the CEO and founder of Facebook. They can see every comment you make, every word you post, and even every picture you upload. I personally think that this is unfair to the users of Facebook. I think this particular image gives us a sense of humor as well as of seriousness. I think it is funny how the CEO can tell things about someone just by their Facebook page, but I think this is a serious matter as far as our own personal privacy goes. This image subjects a very well-known matter, and I think that was one of the main things I looked for when choosing my image. I knew if I chose an image that is going to portray something that is popular, I would grab my audience's attention. Not only would I grab my audience's attention because of how popular Facebook is, but I would grab their attention by them wanting to know what my image was about and what the story was behind it.
